Our Caregivers
We believe in treating our caregivers with respect and understand they are a very critical part of our team. Our team approach results in our clients receiving outstanding care. Tiva Living employs excellent caregivers that are dedicated to their craft, and our caregivers get the opportunity to work with great clients.
Our Caregivers are Company Employees
Tiva Living in-home caregivers are considered employees of the company, not employees of the client. This ensures that Tiva Living is responsible for all payroll taxes, Worker’s comp, liability insurance, and bonding for all caregivers, thus removing this additional stress from the clients and their families.
Screening and Hiring Process
Our caregivers go through a very thorough and comprehensive screening and hiring process and must meet the following qualifications:

- Minimum six months experience
- CNA/HHA and nursing student is a plus!
- Must be able to assist clients with personal care, hygiene, transferring & ADLs
- Must have transportation & driver’s license
- Must be able to pass multiple background checks
- Must have current TB test
- Dementia experience is a plus!
- Pass personality and skills assessments
- Must be available to work 2-6 days per week (weekend availability highly desired)
- Strong verbal & written communication skills

Tiva Living provides hands-on training led by RNs and other local professionals. Caregivers are also tested for competency and are awarded certifications for:
- Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Chronic disease management for congestive heart failure, heart attack,
and pneumonia - Personal care and bathing
- Injury and illness prevention and safety training in home and work environments
- HIPAA (client confidentiality)
- Client transfer and body ergonomics
- Assistive equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, etc
